The MFTHBA Membership Committee will be hosting a free clinic conducted by various Missouri Fox Trotting Horse trainers. “The clinic is for individuals that do not already work with a trainer, but would like some tips on how to improve their horse’s gait, what to expect in the show ring, or preparations for a model class,” shared Amy Stangl, MFTHBA Membership Committee Chairman.

Jennifer Stewart, Membership Committee member, suggested the idea and the committee thought it might be a good addition to the Celebration schedule. “We are always getting requests for educational events. When Jennifer recommended we set up a clinic at the Celebration, we thought it was a great idea,” added Stangl.

Two Time MFTHBA Trainer of the Year, Erin Patterson, will also be on-hand to answer questions and help individuals with their horses.

To participate with their horse, attendees will need to register for the clinic. Auditors are welcome without pre-registration. “We currently have three trainers available to assist with the clinic, but if we have enough interest, we will add additional trainers to help,” shared Stangl.

Currently Geno Middleton, Erin Patterson, and Bryan Biggs are scheduled to assist with the clinic.

The clinic will be held on Monday, September 7, at 11 a.m. in the DQP arena.
